Testimonials

There's no better way to learn about the conference than to hear from the people who were part of last year's AAP Experience!

Excellent conference!!! Looking forward to attending New Orleans AAP conference in 2012. The AAP National Conference is where I go to learn what is new and important in pediatrics, to review my practice and skills, and to meet others dealing with similar practice issues. I leave feeling energized and well informed.

Kathleen Braico, MD, FAAP, Medical Director, Double H Ranch, a Paul Newman Camp for Children with Serious Illness, Lake Luzerne, NY

The thing that amazes me year after year is the quality of the speakers. The variety of topics presented in the seminars, forums, and case discussions is fantastic, but it’s the faculty presentation, crisp, energized, entertaining, that makes each one special.
Catherine Bartlett, MD, Primary Care Pediatrics, Northampton, MA

This is my fifth AAP meeting since I began my residency, and year after year it just keeps getting better. Innovations such as product theaters are an excellent idea. I can’t wait to see what new ideas will be presented in New Orleans!

Humberto Lopez Castillo, MD, MEd, MSc, Panama City, Panama

This conference is an outstanding opportunity for resident physicians to augment their educational experience in training and to plan for future specialized training and practice.
Lynn Palmeri, MD, Westchester, NY

It was truly a wonderful experience that has changed my way of managing some common illnesses and has inspired me to read more and become more updated with current trends in pediatrics. Thank you so much.
Karen Butters, MBBS, General Practitioner, Georgetown, Guyana South Africa

Great opportunity to immerse yourself in learning and sharing of ideas as well as purchase books and discuss AAP online services. So much in five days!
Cindy Juster, MD, FAAP, Alpharetta, GA

Highly recommend attendance to stay well informed and to keep current. Some of the lectures/seminars cannot be replicated online or elsewhere.
Lorne Katz, MD, FAAP, Sawgrass Pediatrics, LLC, Coral Springs, FL

Very informative; faculty stayed behind to answer all questions! Rare for a conference of this magnitude.
Nancy Goeden, MD, FAAP, Rappahannock Pediatrics, Fredericksburg , VA

My first AAP conference was definitely a wonderful experience, being updated on the most current information in pediatric health care, meeting old friends, and making new ones!
Imeline Troncales, MD, Second-Year Resident, Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA

I can’t say enough about how helpful it was to have the handouts available for download onto my iPad before the conference. It enabled me to get a preview of the sessions whose titles interested me so I could create a program that matched my needs and interests. During the sessions, I then used a PDF reading/annotating app to add my own highlighting and take notes directly onto the PDFs. Now I have all my notes for quick reference on a device I have with me most of the time. I am extremely satisfied with my experience and with the portability of my new knowledge.
Michelle, Large Private Group Outside of Boston

The AAP Experience is a great place for learning, advocacy support, and exposure to leadership for pediatricians of every age and stage in their careers.
Karen Breach, MD, FAAP, President, North Carolina Chapter

It is a distinct pleasure to be surrounded by people who love learning. To be able to have some master teachers impart their knowledge to me is wonderful. I return to my practice truly energized with my head full of new information and my heart full of pride that I am a pediatrician. The pediatric bowl is the highlight of my year, it is my superbowl, the time when I get to see teams of young passionate pediatricians compete to demonstrate the knowledge of esoteric facts.
William Selby, DO, FAAP, Newburgh, IN

The AAP National Conference & Exhibition is not to be missed! Every year I walk away with new information that directly impacts my patients and how I care for them.
William Giasi Jr, MD, FAAP, General Pediatrics, Princeton, NJ

The AAP NCE offers such a complete range of CME topics that I always find something new and timely. Plus, the opportunities for networking keep me in touch with old friends and introduce me to new partners in advocacy. These reasons are why I have made it to 13 NCE’s in a row!
George Phillips, MD, FAAP, Academic General Pediatrics and Sports Medicine, University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, Iowa City, IA

I was so inspired by this conference. The price was reasonable, and the quality far exceeded any conference I have attended in my 12 years as a nurse practitioner.
Fran Mitchell, FNP, Augusta, GA

I was encouraged to attend the AAP National Conference in Boston by a pediatrician in our practice and I was very satisfied with the education provided, as well as the networking with other health care providers. I would definitely attend another AAP National Conference!
Linda L. Davis, CRNP FNP-BC, Pediatric Group Practice, Lewisburg, PA

I enjoyed the diverse subjects presented, the networking opportunities, and the evidence-based material provided at the plenary sessions.
Beverly A. Neyland, MD, FAAP, University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas, NV

AAP NCE is a perfect time to reunite with friends from residency. No other conference so solidly welds pediatrics research, education, and patient care together with the most important component—ADVOCACY.
Louise Thibault, MD, Laval QC Canada

The AAP Experience offers CME in a superior quality format. From selection of speakers, to timely presentation of topics, they consistently have an accurate pulse on what is important in pediatric medicine.
Erin Cowan, CPNP, Tucson Pediatric Hospitalists, Tucson, AZ

I really was so happy about the AAP’s efforts at limiting the environmental impact of this conference by providing the CDs, no paper handouts or printing stations, and having it at a conference center that had recycling EVERYWHERE. I really take note of those things. I also GREATLY appreciate the ability to buy videos of the lectures I was unable to attend because there were so many I wanted to hear and it was impossible to see it all. This allowed me to maximize my learning on all topics of interest without a huge extra expense. I also appreciated vegetarian offerings at the special events!!
Janine Pettiford-Cunningham, MD, Kansas City, MO

I believe this is the best pediatric meeting worldwide. This is my 10th year attending the AAP NCE and I have been very satisfied, learning a lot after each NCE. Despite my distance of travel (I come from the Philippines), I save my funds to be able to attend annually. Your monthly e-mail updates and webcasts are very valuable. I hope to join you in New Orleans next year!
Rizalina H. Gonzalez, MD, FPPS, General Pediatrics, Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines

As a child psychologist working in an interdisciplinary clinical/academic/research environment, I found this conference to be one of the best I have ever attended!! Many sessions were extremely helpful in furthering my knowledge of pediatric issues in areas such as developmental, behavioral, and health-related topics. I am excited to attend this conference in the future!
Catherine Smith, PhD, Clinical Assistant Professor, Center for Child Health and Development, University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS

I do very much enjoy learning the latest from the brightest pediatric stars.
Mary Tierney, MD, FAAP, Washington, DC

Fantastic conference! I learned so much and had fun making new friends from all over the country. Since our practice is far from any children’s hospital, the NCE is especially important for my continuing learning.
David McConnell Jr, MD, FAAP, Rural 3-Peds Practice, Warren, PA

I loved being able to preview handouts. It helped me decide which sessions were most appropriate for my needs and helped so that none were a waste of my time. Best value for money!
Jackson Vane, MD, Long Beach, CA

My oldest daughter, who is a pediatric nurse practitioner, and I have made this an annual event for the past few years. This year my middle daughter, who is a second-year pediatric resident, joined us. The topics were extremely relevant to practice, and the quality of the presentations was superb. It was a wonderful learning experience for all of us, and we look forward to doing it again next year in New Orleans!

I really enjoyed being able to tailor the lectures to my needs, I enjoyed the spirit of the meeting as well. It was great to connect with colleagues from my past professional arenas. Loved coming to the AAP NCE year after year. Would highly recommend it.
Neera Chhabra, MD, FAAP, General Pediatrics, Shreveport, LA

I always feel very proud to be a pediatrician after attending the AAP National Conference & Exhibition. It is uplifting and positively energizing experience. The AAP REALLY “GETS IT.”
Rodolfo C. Ng, MD, General Pediatrician/Health Professional Educator, Angeles University Foundation School of Medicine & Angeles University Foundation Medical Center, City of San Fernando Pampanga, Philippines

The NCE is a Neat Continuing Education experience!
Leonard Janchar, MD, FAAP, Smith Clinic, Marion, OH

This conference reconnects clinicians nationwide to absorb, share, and initiate effective clinical initiatives. Each attendee leaves loaded with the validated tools necessary to change the future of all children. It connects each attendee to the larger national body of change despite being a tiny piece of the local health care community.
Judy Collier, RN, Cullman, AL

The AAP NCE was a great experience and a great opportunity for me to meet fellow residents and share and brainstorm ideas with them, both for current residency projects and for the future of the AAP, as future fellows in the AAP ourselves. It was especially nice to meet fellow residents in my district who are geographically close and share a similar patient population.
Katie McBeth, MD, Medical School/Academic Practice, Houston, TX

This year’s NCE had excellent sessions on motivational interviewing, the latest evidence-based autism resources, and top-notch mental health practices. So much PRACTICAL and useful information for me to apply when seeing my patients.
Kathleen M. Clarke-Pearson, MD, FAAP, Sandhills Pediatrics, Southern Pines, NC

Great conference, well planned out and full of valuable information!
Lawrence Nazarian, MD, FAAP, Penfield, NY

There was a lot of positive energy, and it did recharge and energize me. It was good to network and connect with previous and current colleagues.
Emile Paras, MD, FRCPC, General Pediatrics, Saint John NB, Canada

Excellent CME from a known authority, AAP. This is an absolutely amazing conference. Absolutely worth flying away for, and I’ll do it every year!

Nagui F. Chouha, MD, Solo Practice, Alexandria, Egypt

The conference sessions have a high academic level and help the general pediatrician to maintain and update.
Alfonso Zamora Ustaran, General Pediatrician, Puebla, Mexico

I love attending the NCE! I get so excited from this conference. It renews my energy to go back and make changes in my practice!
Betsy Peterson, MD, FAAP, General Pediatrician, Beaver Dam, WI

As a resident, I was inspired, and also witnessed the bridging of education with clinical practice—something we are encouraged to do in residency, and something I strive to continue throughout my career. This was the perfect forum to infuse knowledge and excitement into the crowd that takes care of kids—and a perfect event to attend with family.
Ki Lee Milligan, MD, Pediatric Resident, St Louis, MO
