Wisconsin Intensive Summer Language Institutes
Each summer, undergraduates, graduate students, professionals, and other non-traditional students study a language at the Wisconsin Intensive Summer Languages Institutes (WISLI) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. WISLI is host to seven summer language institutes which offer high-quality courses in over 30 less commonly taught languages (LCTLs), as well as a multilanguage seminar. These domestic courses are intensive, condensing an entire year of language study into 8 weeks. WISLI is sponsored by the Language Program Office, Title VI National Resource Centers, Language Departments in the College of Letters and Science at UW-Madison as well as partner programs.
