Welcome Reception
Everyone is invited to attend the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening, April 29, at 7:00 p.m. Always one of the most popular networking events at the annual conference, this event offers a relaxed venue for friends and colleagues to reconnect before the start of the Technical Program on Monday morning. The reception will include a light dinner buffet and live music for dancing.
Young Members Group/Mentors Networking Event
Young Members and Students (under the age of 31) are invited to this networking event on Sunday evening, April 29, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. This informal mentoring program serves as a “bridge” between Young Members, students and mentors within the Society, providing a venue for connecting with those working in specific areas of vacuum coating. Focused discussions explore technical issues, employment opportunities, and other useful knowledge on how to successfully navigate the conference. Technology Forum Breakfasts

7th Annual SVC Foundation 5K Fun Run and Walk
Join
friends and colleagues on this out and back course that follows the
paved trail near the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, Tuesday morning, May 1, 2012
at 6 a.m. The registration fee of $25 includes a T-shirt. All proceeds
benefit the SVC Foundation, which awards scholarships to students
working in the field of vacuum coating technology. Sign up for this

SVC Foundation Golf TournamentThis
fundraising event will be on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Santa Clara
Golf & Tennis Club (located next to the Hyatt). Check-in will
begin at 12:00 noon, with Tee Time at 1:00 p.m. The cost of $140.00 per
person includes 18 holes of golf, cart fees, 2 drink tickets. The
format will be “Best Ball” (sign up as an individual and include a

Complimentary Transportation to and from Santana Row in San José
Santana Row in downtown San Josè is the perfect place to meet colleagues or entertain clients on Tuesday evening after the Exhibit closes. The first bus will leave the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara at 6:15 p.m. and will cycle back every 30-45 minutes throughout the evening. The last bus will make its final return trip from Santana Row at 10:30 p.m. Indicate when registering for the TechCon if you are interested in taking advantage of the complimentary transportation and how many will be in your group.
