Helping Babies Breathe® ($50,000)
Every year and estimated 4 million newborns die during their first month of life. Half of these deaths occur during delivery and within the next 24 hours, and a majority of these deaths are due to lack of breathing. 98% of these deaths are in developing countries. Helping Babies Breathe® is an evidence-based program disigned to teach basic life-saving techniques to birth attendants in resource-limited settings. Funding to conduct a train-the-trainer session to establish Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) Mentors who will provide technical assisatnce to countries that have been identified to be in greatest need. A successfull HBB Mentor will be fully trained as an HBB probider and will learn implementation and contry-wide scale-up strategies.
AAP Community Cares Project
Revitalize a Playground ($100,000)
NCE attendees will roll up their sleeves with the local community to build a playground for underprivileged children. This day long philanthropic event will take place prior to the Friday night Welcome Reception. The sponsor’s name will join the American Academy of Pediatrics on a permanent sign at the playground site. Please help be the founding supporter for this important community event.
Friends of Children Fund Cause Marketing Opportunity ($50,000) (Maximum of 3)
WIN: Sponsorship links with a worthwhile cause: the AAP Friends of Children Fund, our members’ philanthropic initiative dedicated to high priority AAP activities, emerging child health issues, and new knowledge about the best way to care for children.

Sponsorship creates direct interaction opportunities with NCE member attendees, who appreciate the corporation’s support of AAP philanthropy.
WIN: Sponsorship builds increased awareness of AAP Friends of Children Fund and member involvement.
Coupon Give-Away
Exhibitors can give NCE attendees coupons toward a purchase from the AAP Resource Center. Each card would be for the value of $10. A card announcing the coupon give-away would be supplied by the exhibitor and placed in a Doctor’s Bag drop to each attendee’s hotel room.
