This breakfast is for residents interested in applying for a sports medicine fellowship. The goal is to connect these individuals with the primary care fellowship directors and sports medicine fellows so they can ask questions and get more information on the process. The breakfast will be informal for attendees.

The purpose of the 2011 Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Transport Medicine Course is to educate the attendees on the latest advances in transport medicine. The participants will learn the latest clinical issues regarding the care of transport patients as well as the administration, planning, and delivery of pediatric interfacility transport. Underwrite the cost of implementing the course.
Section on Infectious Diseases Resident Travel Grant
Sponsorship: $5,000
NCE travel grants are offered annually to residents or fellows in training with an interest in infectious diseases an opportunity to attend the NCE and network with leadership. The travel grant recipients are announced at the beginning of the Meet the Red Book Committee session.
Section on Infectious Diseases Award for Lifetime Contribution to Infectious Diseases Education
Sponsorship: $2,500
This award is given annually to an Academy member who has made an outstanding contribution to education in infectious diseases. The candidate’s contribution should be of a substantial long-term dedication to the highest ideals of education. Preference is made for those who have focused on education of practitioners. Current members of the Section on Infectious Diseases Executive Committee are not eligible to receive the award.
