Overview

The West Virginia University Health System includes more than 20 member hospitals and has more than 2,400 licensed beds, 3,900 providers, and nearly 30,000 employees. We are the largest health system in the state.

The WVU School of Medicine's Department of Neurology and the WVU Medicine Children's Neuroscience Center are components of the collaborative efforts of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. RNI provides compassionate patient care and advanced medicine through education, research, and outreach in the many diverse communities we serve. The Institute spearheads efforts to develop innovative solutions for neurological and psychiatric conditions across the lifespan.WVU Medicine maintains a Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy Center with hardwired video-EEG units for both adults and children. We have West Virginia's only pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit in our new Children's Hospital which opened in September 2022.

WVU Medicine maintains a Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.
