Bolstering bioscience research with unique analytical capabilities

The National User Resource for Biological Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (bioAMS), located at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), supports scientists exploring solutions to combat emerging pathogens and environmental toxins, speed development of safe, effective therapeutics, and address other biomedical research challenges.

We were the first organization to apply AMS techniques to quantify extremely low concentrations of radioisotope-labeled chemicals in biomedical research applications, and we have served the biomedical user community for nearly three decades.

To better support our user community, we continue enhancing AMS analytical capabilities, offering innovative techniques and new types of measurement capabilities.
