2012 BIO International Convention
Late-Breaking Call for Sessions
Submission Site

Welcome to the 2012 BIO International Convention Late-Breaking Call for Sessions Submission Site! Session oganizers interested in submitting a late-breaking session must submit a proposal with new information that was not yet known or fully available by the original Call for Sessions deadline of October 5, 2011. Please do not re-submit proposals that were not selected as sessions in October. The late-breaking call will be open from February 20 - March 5, 2012. In preparation for your submission, please download BIO’s Late-Breaking

Call for Sessions Submission Guide. This guide will provide you with all the resources you need to submit a session proposal.

Ready to submit a proposal?  Please view helpful hints below:

            • To begin, click SUBMIT LATE-BREAKING PROPOSAL under the LATE-BREAKING SUBMISSIONS tab. If this is the first time entering the Call for Sessions Submission Site, you will need to create an account. Past submitters may bypass this step if they received an email that enclosed their Ecode and Password.
            • IMPORTANT please keep ahold of your Ecode, as it is necessary to edit submissions.
            • BIO strongly suggests that you compose your proposal OFFLINE in a separate word processing program before beginning the submission. This way, you will always have a back up of your proposal. You can check your spelling, count your words or characters, and then copy and paste the text into the appropriate areas on the online form.
            • Finish every section on the submission form completely. A structured session proposal will have all components completed and should adhere to the total length requirements. You may save the proposal as a draft and edit the proposal as frequently as needed, and log in later to resume. The proposal title is required for saving or auto-saving as a draft.
            • Select only one of the 11 tracks available for your session. Each session track has a description and theme. Make sure to stay within the theme in your proposal. Refrain from writing proposals that are blunt advertisements of your region, country, or company.
            • Analyze submission deadlines. BIO will only be accepting submissions from February 20-March 5, 2012. Late submissions will not be accepted..
            • Review BIO’s Late-Breaking Call for Sessions Submission Guide before submitting your final proposal. This guide will provide you with all the resources you need for submitting a session proposal.
