IAVM VenueConnect 2022 Health & Safety Protocols

IAVM is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all VenueConnect participants. Our decisions and preventive measures will be guided by the requirements and recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other recognized health organizations.

We expect all participants to consider the risk carefully and respectfully they may pose to others. You should not attend VenueConnect if you;

  • Mask Mandate: Participants will properly wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth during all indoor IAVM events, unless actively eating or drinking. KN95 or N95 masks are recommended, and proper use is discussed by the CDC here.

  • If during VenueConnect you experience the signs and symptoms of COVID-19, please take a COVID test. We strongly recommend that you travel with an additional testing kit in case you begin to feel ill. Should you test positive, please quarantine in your room and contact Darlene Somers, IAVM Director of Meetings, who will discuss next steps and how IAVM can support you during your quarantine.

  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout all meeting spaces.

  • Session speakers who are positioned at the front of the room and are positioned at least 6 feet from attendees may be unmasked. If they are circulating throughout the meeting room, they should be masked.

We strongly urge you to self-test for COVID-19 before travelling to Phoenix.

All VenueConnect participants are expected to adhere to and abide by the safety precautions IAVM is implementing to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

After participants return home, they should self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and are asked to contact the IAVM Meetings Team if they test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days after VenueConnect. Obtaining and purchasing the testing kits are the responsibility of the participant.

Should any positive cases be reported to IAVM within the 10-day timeframe, IAVM will communicate this information to all registered participants. Any private health or personal data received by IAVM will be treated as confidential.

Please note that by attending VenueConnect, you agree to adhere to the precautions and policies above and understand that you are knowingly and freely assuming all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, by attending this event. You understand that refusal to adhere to these policies and abide by these precautions may result in immediate removal from the event and cancellation of the registration, without receiving a refund.

All IAVM policies are subject to change. Should changes be made, a notification

will be sent to all registered participants.
