About FRI

The IAFC's Fire-Rescue International (FRI) Conference has evolved over the last several years and continues to introduce new programming and opportunities. As you've made changes in how you run your department and make purchases, we too continue to transform FRI to meet your needs. From the classroom to the expo floor we proudly remain a source of excellence within the fire service.

Fire-Rescue International is the fire executives "go to" show.  Each August, 12,000+ of the most prominent fire and emergency service leaders from across North America and around the globe come together for 5 days of learning, networking and collaboration at FRI. FRI education covers all areas of the emergency service: navigating the political environment, managing change, ethical leadership, EMS issues, career development and more. More than 600 exhibitors showcase the newest fire service innovations in apparatus, technology, equipment, gear and more.

Not Just For Chiefs

FRI provides the best in leadership education but it's not just for chiefs. We attract company officers and chief officers who are taking an active role in their departments and the future of the fire service. The Officer Development Program is the only program of its kind, backed by the IAFC and meeting the requirements of NFPA that officers are required to have.

Education & Exhibits

At the International Association of Fire Chiefs we know that education happens in the classroom and on the expo floor. FRI provides attendees and participating companies with the total package when it comes to active learning.

IAFC

The IAFC represents the leadership of firefighters and emergency responders worldwide; our members are the world's leading experts in firefighting, emergency medical services, terrorism response, hazardous materials spills, natural disasters, search and rescue, and public safety policy. Since 1873, the IAFC has provided a forum for fire and emergency service leaders to exchange ideas, develop professionally and uncover the latest products and services available to first responders.

"The newest in safety equipment, apparatus, and innovation is available at FRI and that combined with the educational, networking, and inspiration opportunities for attendees makes FRI the window on the Fire Service world."

Brian Bentley, Fire Chief, Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
