IBU, Inc provides cost effective underwriting solutions for BGA's and carriers. Solutions include reviewing and summarizing cases as well as recommending carriers. IBU underwriting services are provided on an as needed basis and there are no minimums.  IBU also provide a Virtual Underwriter Service which allows BGA's to utilyze an experienced underwriter without having to hire in house.  All IBU underwriting services include Medical Doctor Questionnaire or MDQ. With MDQ IBU underwriters call doctors offices and obtain clarifying and/or additional information. MDQ is requested primarily when an unplaceable offer is received from a home office underwriter due to a lack of clarity in the medical records.  IBU also makes prescription database checks available to BGA's. "Script Check"offer BGA's another tool to identify doctors and impairments as well as minimize "underwriting surprises" from carriers.
