Profile:
AIVMI (American Indian Veterans Memorial Initiative) is a project spearheaded by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The mission of AIVMI is to gain approval from Congress and the President of the United States to build a statue on the Vietnam Memorial Walk on the National Mall in Washington D.C. that represents an American Indian. Per capita, the American Indians have the highest percentage of American Indian men and women who fought in Vietnam, and deserve that recognition on the Mall.
