Hear from Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State (2005-2009), current professor of business and political science at Stanford University, and longtime education advocate at the opening General Session on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in San Francisco. At Stanford, Rice won two of the highest teaching honors: the 1984 Walter J. Gores Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 1993 School of Humanities and Sciences Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching. She was a founding board member of the Center for a New Generation, an educational support fund.
