KUKA expands its range of autonomous mobile robots (AMR) with the introduction of the KMR iisy mobile cobot and the KMP 1500P mobile platform.
Augsburg, July 2023 – For flexibility and reliability in demanding environments, the KMR iisy fully integrates cobot and transport platform, while the KMP 1500P provides an innovative mobile platform. Optimally equipped for production facilities and warehouses, both make ideal partners for Industry 4.0.
KMR iisy: Smart manufacturing and logistics partner
The KMR iisy mobile cobot moves quickly and safely through workspaces for flexible use at assembly workstations, in intralogistics and as a robot service system. It includes the LBR iisy, optionally with a load capacity of 11 or 15 kg, and a mobile platform that carries up to an additional 200 kg. Along with ESD certification, the KMR iisy offers low-particle and low-emission properties for cleanroom use. Its smartPAD pro teach pendant operates both cobot and platform, with no need for a second operating device.
KMP 1500P: Maximum efficiency in production facilities
KMP 1500P mobile platform is a groundbreaking automation solution to optimize intralogistic processes. It can transport up to 1.5 tons of a wide range of materials and workpieces, with an impressive stroke of 60 mm and precise positioning accuracy. It is an indispensable partner to pick goods, supply materials to lines and cells, and transport workpieces in process linking.
KUKA's new generation of autonomous mobile robots
KUKA's new AMR generation meets the highest demands of Logistics 4.0, with intelligence, flexibility, safety and easy handling. Install 3D cameras, safety laser scanners or the IP class 54 to offer reliable protection for the robot, its loads and working environment. With differential drive and flexibility, these robots excel in dynamic, complex environments while they adapt routes autonomously and efficiently. With inductive, intelligent 24/7 charging management, the robots charge at a charging station or during the work process. Any required maintenance is easy and quick, with large access hatches on the KMR iisy and easily replaceable control and switching electronics on the KMP 1500P. The new, intelligent KMReS fleet manager greatly simplifies integration for a cost-efficient, safe solution.
These easily controllable mobile robots improve processes in (intra-)logistics to reduce time and costs. This benefits large corporations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.
