    • Minimum material use as the wall thickness can be reduced according to the needs of the application of the finished tube while the OD remains constant;

    • only those sections of the tube with higher strength requirement can have thicker walls; lighter load sections can have thinner walls;

    • tube ends can have thicker walls to allow a strong connection of otherwise thin-walled tube components for instance by welding or threaded joint;

    • Tight tolerances and enhanced mechanical properties;

    • Lower component costs, reducing excessive material;
