    Innovation is at the core of the ByStar Fiber with 10kW Fiber laser. The machine has been designed from the ground up to meet the demands from high-speed fiber laser cutting as well as cutting capabilities into the thick plate range.     To satisfy the increasing demand for high-speed, mobile bending systems, Bystronic will introduce the Xpert 80 Mobile Press Brake. With a bending length of up to 60 inches and a press capacity of 88 U.S. Tons, the Xpert 80 opens up a wide spectrum of applications for bending complex, small and medium size parts.With its integrated tool storage  greatly reduces non-productive bending times. Up to 6 axis back gauge and ram speeds ensure the highest process efficiency to keep pace with today’s high speed Fiber laser cutting machines.   • High functionality in a compact space

    With the new, high-speed Xpert 80, Bystronic is continuing the concept of the mobile press brake, which the smaller version Xpert 40 has already successfully established on the market. Compared to the Xpert 40, the Xpert 80 offers a decisive increase in bending length and press capacity. This opens up a wide spectrum of applications. Over a bending length of approximately 60 inches, the Xpert 80 generates a press capacity of 88 US tons, and all of this with a footprint of less than 10 square feet.

    For many users, bending requires manufacturing small to medium-sized parts using press brakes that are too big for the job. For parts up to a bending length of approximately five feet and a maximum thickness of ¾ of an inch, these users do not really need a large-scale bending machine, but a small and versatile powerhouse. Bystronic developed the new Xpert 80 for precisely these requirements. A high-speed, mobile press brake with a compact format that fits into virtually any manufacturing environment.

    Moreover, the machine achieves fast bending speeds up to 60 inches per minute. This enables users to bend three times as many parts with the compact machine compared to a slower large press brake. The ByMotion drive control, a Bystronic development, ensures that the Xpert 80’s upper beam and back gauges are accelerated with high precision. This creates the perfect interplay between speed, precision, and bending force. The results are bending processes with the highest levels of repetition accuracy and speed.

With its uncompromising high-end performance, the ByStar Fiber is aimed at users who want to rely fully on fiber laser technology. Users who will in future cut their entire range of orders using the fiber laser: from stainless steel, through to aluminum and mild steel, and up to non-ferrous metals, such as copper and brass.

    Innovative cutting bridge design

    One of the keys to achieving exceptional acceleration dynamics is reducing weight while increasing rigidity. Bystronic’s patented triangle cutting bridge enables the ByStar Fiber to take full advantage of the increased speeds generated by the high fiber laser powers and the linear drives, while maintaining axis rigidity during accelerations.

    The triangle shape enables a 40% increase in acceleration over square profile designs, a 60% increase in torsional rigidity and a 25% reduction in overall profile weight.

    Bystronic-engineered cutting head

    Harnessing the full laser power and focusing it accurately on to the work piece for each material type is the function of one of the most important elements of a Fiber laser cutting system, the cutting head. The Bystronic engineered cutting head not only has the capability to automatically focus for each material type and thickness, but also regulates the cutting beam diameter. Regulating the size of the focused beam enables the thinner materials to be cut with a narrow beam and the thicker materials to be cut with a wider beam, improving speeds and overall edge finish.

    ByVision Cutting

    The Bystronic ByVision Cutting CNC interface intuitively guides users through the operation process. The full 22” high definition touch screen provides maximum operating convenience and transparent process control of the entire manufacturing process. Since the touch screen is configured much like modern smart phones and tablets, operators quickly and intuitively learn the control interface.

  • Bystronic Inc. introduces the new Xpert 40, a compact portable high-speed press brake that is “moveable on demand” to where you need it, when you need it. The Xpert 40 is ideal when space is limited and capacities vary. With its integrated tool storage, Xpert 40 is the first press brake to combine the entire setup and production from one single station, greatly reducing non-productive bending times.

    Fiber lasers have increased demand on downstream material processing because they are capable of producing parts about twice as fast as the classic CO2 laser cutting machine.
