    The patented SCHUNK chuck quick-change system ROTA FSW promises a fast chuck change in less than three minutes. Instead of using fastening screws and a drawbar adapter, the ROTA FSW is process-reliably loosened and locked with one single clamping screw. By a flexible adapter, the drawbar of the lathe is automatically connected with the rotary table, and is precisely centered by the patented flexible taper. A patented, extended and power jaw stroke ensure enormous pull-in forces, optimal location face, and an optimal rigidity of the connection. Locking is carried out form-fit and is self-locking. In order to exclude operating errors, a display continuously informs about the individual locking status.

    Versatile in use

    The SCHUNK quick-change system can be retrofitted to almost every lathe. It is suitable for manual as well as power chucks. Their actuating force and maximum rotational speed remain fully preserved. Due to the low height, there are few restrictions in installation space. With its large through-hole, the SCHUNK ROTA FSW can be also used in modern turning centers. Already existing clamping devices can be adapted to the system with little effort and can be repeatedly used. The SCHUNK chuck quick-change system is available in three sizes for lathe chuck diameters up to 260 mm, 315 to 400 mm, and 400 to 630 mm. 

  • The SCHUNK KONTEC KSC 80 centric clamping vise is a multifaceted component that has optimal jaw support for I.D. and O.D. clamping. It can be easily adapted for conventional clamping, short clamping depths for 5-sided machining, mold parts, plates or saw cuts.

    The KSC 80 is known for high precision and process reliability, with an extremely flat design. A pre-tensioned and backlash-free center bearing and an extra fitted slide guarantee a repeat accuracy of ±0.01 mm and enable the precise processing of the first and second side in a clamping system. An integrated chip drain and a protected spindle assure maximum process reliability. The centric clamping vise is ideally suited for affordable storage solutions in automated machine tools.

    The new vise is available with jaw width of 40, 80 and 125 mm and a clamping force up to 25 kN.

  • With the TENDO E compact, SCHUNK has started a new era in tool clamping. With this advanced toolholder, it is no longer required to use different holder technologies for milling, drilling, and reaming. 

    For the first time ever, hydraulic expansion toolholders can safely transfer torques of up to 520 Nm (384 ft-lbs) at a 20 mm clamping diameter and are perfectly suited for high volume cutting.

    With excellent vibration damping and precise run out accuracy of less than 0.003 mm (0.0001”) at 2,5 x D, the TENDO E compact protects the machine spindle and the cutting tool from damage. The attractively-priced hydraulic expansion toolholder works well across the application range from rough milling to finish operations such as reaming and fine milling.

    In roughing operations, tool cost reductions of up to 40% have been achieved with TENDO E compact. Tools can be quickly changed with an Allen key, making this hydraulic expansion toolholder an excellent alternative for operations where the toolholder quantities do not justify peripheral equipment purchases.

    Common spindle connections are available, including interfaces HSK-A63, SK40, BT40, CAT40, and CAT50.
