  • ONLY ONE 4th Axis is required to get the benefits of a Horizontal Machining Center on your VMC equipped with an Automatic Pallet Changer. Increase 4th Axis productivity by adding our MIDACO TRUNNION SYSTEM and VERTICAL ROTARY FACEPLATE to a New or Existing Automatic Pallet Changer. NO cable management needed!

    The MIDACO TRUNNION SYSTEM includes one 4th Axis actuator assembly and two trunnions (individual trunnion is also available separately), and works with any 4th axis rotary-indexer (not included). A trunnion is mounted on each pallet of the Pallet Changer outside the VMC. Once transferred into the machining area, the trunnion clamps onto the MIDACO receiver and automatically engages with the 4th Axis. The Trunnion System is a cost effective solution to increase your Vertical’s capability by machining 360 degrees without the need for cable management. Increase your machining versatility by adding a VERTICAL ROTARY FACEPLATE, which is also mounted on a pallet, for multiple workholding options.

  • MIDACO has developed an AUTOMATIC MULTI-PALLET CHANGER for 5-Axis and Standard VMCs. This innovative design can load and unload 19 aluminum pallets on any New or Existing machine. Midaco’s new system is ideal for “Lights-Out” manufacturing changing pallets while the machining center runs unattended overnight.

    The servo driven AUTOMATIC MULTI-PALLET CHANGER includes 19 aluminum pallets 10” (245mm) dia. and 1.25” (31.75mm) thick. Each pallet’s weight capacity is 75 lbs (34.05kg). Hardened and ground locating pins ensure +/- .0001” (.0025mm) repeatability and the Pallet Changer integrates with the machine using M-functions. The cast iron receiver, which is mechanical and does not require pneumatics or hydraulics, mounts directly on the machining center table. The full CE enclosure has two drop-down door loading stations (one on each side of the machine) and ensures that a pallet change will not occur if doors are opened.

    For New or Existing VMCs. Pallet Sizes ranging from 22" x 14" (559mm x 356mm) with 500 lb (227 kg) capacity to 190" x 72" (4826mm x 1829mm) with 32,000 lb (14,528 kg) capacity. Available with CE 3-sided Door or Light Curtain Guarding....

  • Midaco pallet changers can be integrated with new equipment or with your existing Vertical Machining Centers. Mounted on either the right or left side of the VMC, MIDACO's Automatic Pallet Changers work with your VMC to greatly reduce spindle downtime. While pallet "A" is in the VMC, being machined, pallet "B" is outside with the operator removing finished parts and loading the pallet with new parts for the next operation. Once the parts inside the VMC are complete, the pallets switch out automatically and the process repeats, virtually eliminating spindle downtime. Mounted on the front of the VMC, MIDACO's Manual Pallet Changer allows an operator to manually switch out the pallet from the shuttle unit on to the receiver mounted on the VMC table. While pallet "A" is in the VMC, being machined, pallet "B" is outside with the operator removing finished parts and loading the pallet with new parts for the next operation. Once the parts inside the VMC are complete, the pallet is manually switched out, virtually eliminating spindle downtime.

  • The Automatic Multi-Pallet Changer is an ideal solution for 5-Axis and standard VMCs. The pallet changer is mounted on the side of the machine and has 19 round aluminum pallets 10" in diameter, enabling the machine to run unattended. Because of its multiple pallets, this pallet changer is ideal for running parts in a "lights out situation". The operator can schedule 19 of the same parts or 19 separate jobs to run while unattended.
