Consolidated Industries recently completed a significant capital investment in new equipment and upgraded facilities to improve operating efficiency, product quality, workplace environment and better serve its customers in the aircraft, automotive, medical, defense, marine and other high tech markets.
Existing steam hammers and ancillary equipment were replaced with state-of-the-art CNC hydraulic hammers, high efficiency CNC rotary furnaces and CNC controlled trim presses. Additionally, the forging facilities were upgraded floor to ceiling with new power, air and gas lines, foundations, floors, walls, heating and lighting. The hammer forging facility was insulated and air-locked to reduce sound emissions emanating from our site enabling 24/7 operating capability which will allow a significant increase in throughput capacity.
Consolidated Industries now has the capability to forge all alloy grades up to 250 pounds in open and closed die shapes.
