Increase efficiency, extend component life and reduce wear with REM Surface Engineering’s ISF® (Isotropic Superfinish) Process. REM's ISF Process is the preeminent Superfinishing Process for generating low Ra/Rz, high Rmr surfaces on metal components.   The Process creates a smooth, micro-textured surface for enhanced oil retention and is metallurgically safe.  The ISF Process is robust, easy to automate and tightly controlled to preserve geometrical integrity.    In addition to our traditional ISF Process, REM also offers the Extreme ISF Process for Additive Manufacturing.  Some of the many benefits include improved dynamic performance, reduced surface roughness, adaptability of lot size and flexibility of application.  Extreme ISF works on complex geometries and internal surfaces on multiple alloys.

REM is also pleased to provide our component refurbishment program, which turns otherwise scrap components into better-than-new parts.  These ISF refurbished components outperform traditionally manufactured new components, while providing a shorter turnaround time and a higher recovery rate than traditional re-machining techniques.
