Sustainable solutions
Highlights for hard materials include two new sustainable solutions – the Exchangeable Head System (EHS), which offers maximum efficiency and economy with an exchangeable tool connection. The environmentally sound CTS20G end mill blanks incorporate a large concentration of high-quality secondary raw materials into a cutting tool grade and offer superb performance.
According to Andy Newbery, National Sales Manager for Rods and Wear Parts, “CERATIZIT continues to bring top innovative and quality solutions to the market. Both the EHS and CTS20G are great options for customers who are looking for sustainable and quality without any compromise in performance.”
Innovative tooling
Cutting tools highlights include the innovative WTX-HFDS solid carbide drill, which is the first four-flute drill on the market. Coated with CERATIZIT’s proprietary Dragonskin coating, this drill achieves new levels of quality, hole tolerance, and positioning accuracy, with low burr formation while entering and exiting the hole. Additional tools include the CTPX710 and the CTPX715, the first multi-application insert grades from CERATIZIT that offer outstanding performance when machining steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and non-ferrous metals. Visitors will also see the KUB Quatron indexable drill, US-made solid carbide endmills, MaxiMill 491 indexable milling cutters, FullMax high-performance reamers, and many more.
“Expanding our footprint in the US since the acquisition of KOMET in 2017, we are looking to reintroduce CERATIZIT to the US market at Southtec. We have made significant operational investments in our infrastructure and back-end processes to be fast, flexible, and easy to do business for our customers and channel partners. We recently launched a new website, which offers a webshop, product data, 2D and 3D downloads, and machining knowledge. New 2022 catalogs showcase our broad range of tools including the much-anticipated Inch Assortment Catalog. All catalogs are available as PDF downloads on our website and will be available in print in the coming weeks,” said Dan Cope, VP of Sales, CERATIZIT US.
Steve Kuhnle, CERATIZIT National Sales Manager for the Southern US, adds, “We are looking forward to showcasing our tooling portfolio and engineering expertise for aerospace, automotive, and general engineering customers in the North and South Carolina area. In addition to high-quality cutting tools, we have also enhanced our technical resources in this region by adding highly competent people to the team who bring programming expertise and experience in designing and engineering special tools. Application specialists are available to evaluate and recommend overall productivity improvements to help customers achieve maximum results.”
Sharing knowledge with students
