Mezcal Don Sixto® merged as a result of a family trip to Villa Sola de Vega, Oaxaca.
Sola de Vega a land known for its exquisite mezcal. The art of making mezcal has been passed on generation after generation since pre-Hispanic times, achieving an excellent production and unique recipe. Each Mezcal is unique on flavor and aroma, its categorized by the agave type and production process. All Mezcal is handcrafted produce, high in quality, and regulated by Grupo Sixgra CEO Maria Guadalupe Aguilar Uscanga, PhD professor and researcher in Biochemistry.
(Tobala and Arroqueño won gold medal, and Espadin won silver medal in 2019, from “The Academy of Mezcal and Maguey A.C.” Coyote won silver medal in 2019 from “Viva Mezcal” and gold medal in 2021 from “The Academy of Mezcal and Maguey A.C.”).Tobala won silver medal with 87 points, and Coyote won gold medal with 90 points as TOP 99 Mezcal in CAVA Magazine 2022.
