Sisters Kristine, Kim and Kelly, have expanded the company by introducing private labeling, a wider distribution area for wholesale customers and renovating the iconic Dairy Bar. Shaw’s recently outgrew the original 65-year-old manufacturing space. Plans for a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility began soon after.
Slated to be in full production by Spring 2019, the new facility will produce millions of litres of hard ice cream, soft serve mixes and frozen indulgences. Cutting edge equipment and streamlined operations will lessen the company’s environmental impact by greatly reducing food loss and waste, electricity, and water usage. Most of all, the modern facility will enable Shaw’s to build on existing community partnerships and customer relationships.
