• Magswitch Technologies Unveils Plug-And-Play E Series Magnetic Grippers at (Jul 18, 2025)
  Superior, Colorado – July 18, 2025 – Magswitch Technologies is proud to introduce the latest evolution in magnetic gripping: the Plug-And-Play E Series, featuring the all-new PPE30 and PPE50. These electrically actuated switchable permanent magnets are engineered for precision, simplicity, and integration — ready to plug into any standard I/O block without the complexity of pneumatics.
  Designed with automation engineers in mind, the PPE30 and PPE50 combine powerful magnetic gripping with smart sensing in a compact, rugged housing ideal for robotic applications, fixturing, and more.

  Visitors to FABTECH will experience a working demo cell highlighting the real-world capabilities of these tools:

  • PPE30 on KUKA KR6 Robot- With custom-designed pole shoes, the PPE30 handles diverse tasks on three different sides of the magnet:
    • Bottom: Lifts a difficult-to-grip nail plate.
    • West side: Locates a small bracket via a positioning pin.
    • East side: Secures a threaded rod using a V-cut design.
  • PPE50 for Fixturing- Showcased holding signage in place, the PPE50 demonstrates unmatched performance in single-sided workholding, offering a clean, cable-free design with no moving parts — simplifying EOAT design and eliminating failure points.

  Key Features:

  • Electrically Actuated, Pneumatic-Free Design
    Simple, direct actuation from a 24V I/O block.
  • Fail-Safe ON + Part Present Sensing
    Magnets stay on in the event of power loss and will not activate unless in contact with ferrous material.
  • High Performance in Challenging Applications
    Ideal for robotics, de-stacking, fixturing, and gripping non-flat or irregular surfaces with optional custom pole shoes.
  • Compact and Configurable
    Features multiple mounting patterns, integrated sensing, and peak breakaway forces up to 464 lb. (2066 N) for the PPE50.
