Wixom, MI / Chicago, IL, September 4, 2025— Kawasaki Robotics is bringing sparks, speed, and intelligent automation to FABTECH 2025 in Chicago with live robotic welding demos, new cobot solutions, and a powerful collaboration with VeloWeld™ and Wauseon Machine. Under the theme “Unleash the Spark” Kawasaki will showcase innovations designed to make welding faster, safer, and more accessible for fabricators of all sizes.
Hands-On Innovation: CL Series Cobot Weld Carts
Kawasaki’s new CL Series Cobot Weld Carts are built for industrial-strength collaboration. Featuring easy programming, collision detection, and compatibility with leading welding supply brands, the carts deliver repeatable quality and productivity without requiring prior robotics experience. The CL Series Weld Cart packages include Strong Hand Rhino Carts and tools, weld package of choice, Kawasaki’s CL Series cobots and Easy Teach module, starting at $75,000.
Partnership Power: VeloWeld™ & Wauseon Machine
Kawasaki is teaming up with VeloWeld™ to debut the Velo-S BA006L Welding Cell—a compact, plug-and-produce system engineered for high-mix manufacturing. With a Kawasaki BA006L robot, dual-axis positioner, and Fronius 400i MV power source, built in HMI and safety, the Velo-S delivers precise welds in a small footprint. Attendees are even invited to bring their own part (≤40” diameter) and see it welded live on the show floor.
Also on display, a Wauseon Machine demo will show Kawasaki’s CL015 cobot tending a Wauseon 1004EL Electric End Forming Machine, proving precision tube handling and forming around the clock.
Exclusive Preview: NEW Kawasaki Robotics CL130L Cobot
Attendees will get a first look at the upcoming CL130L collaborative robot (launching 2026), which features a 30 kg payload, 1,800 mm reach, and advanced safety systems—ideal for heavy-payload applications across automotive, aerospace, and beyond.
Education & Training Spotlight: The Astorino
Kawasaki will also highlight the Astorino, a 6-axis, 3D-printed educational robot designed for schools and technical training providers. Affordable and programmable with Kawasaki’s AS Language, it’s a hands-on way to prepare the next generation of fabricators and robotics technicians.
