• Greenerd to Introduce New Products Delivering Ultra-Precise Part Movements (Jul 08, 2025)
  Greenerd Press & Machine Company has announced it will be highlighting the company’s extensive hydraulic press and automation capabilities at FABTECH Booth #D40933 located in McCormick Place, Chicago IL from September 8-11, 2025. Application experts and design engineers from Greenerd will be available to discuss specific user applications and press requirements.
  
  Greenerd designs and builds custom hydraulic presses with automation solutions for a range of industries and applications. One example that demonstrates these capabilities which Greenerd will discuss at FABTECH, is an extraordinarily unique, complex multi-station press system with varying tonnage capabilities via three rams.
  
  Greenerd has designed, engineered and built this automated press system, which manufactures aluminum electrical splices at a rate of 60 parts per minute. The system feeds a coil of aluminum through a straightening and shearing process controlling the weight of slugs which are fed up an inclined custom Greenerd-designed conveyor and diverter, separating the slugs into lanes for increased throughput. In total, the system performs multiple operations from straightening and shearing to dimpling, hole formation, chamfering and grooving via a custom servo-driven shuttle system.
