• THOR Combines High Performance Thermal & Mechanical Cutting (Jun 17, 2025)
  Longview, TX…. Tecoi USA will feature its powerful and versatile THOR® (Tecoi Hyper Operative Range) plate processing machine. Designed for heavy-duty thermal cutting applications, THOR integrates plasma cutting and a beveling system, and oxyfuel cutting with an auxiliary tube and profile lathe. Tecoi’s THOR machine also integrates mechanical cutting with the capability to manufacture parts using multiple operations, including milling, drilling, tapping, countersinking, marking, etc.
  
  High-performance THOR plasma cutting operations include either one or two cutting heads and an optional beveling system, as well as oxyfuel cutting with up to twelve torches and an auxiliary tube and profile lathe. Tecoi’s THOR machine has a central XX axis with a path of 24-inches (610 mm) working on a robust double-beam design. It completes machining tasks with a fixed gantry and the option to fit up two machining heads.
  
  The THOR plate processing machine features Tecoi’s exclusive BEVEL ARC® beveling system, accommodating angles of ± 50° with maximum precision. The machine also features Tecoi’s DRILTEC® system for drilling and tapping with the option of an automatic tool charger while offering SK 50 tool storage with twenty automated positions or five fixed tools.
  
  Tecoi’s THOR cutting table can be equipped with dross collection under the grid and an independent chip collection system for recycling. The cutting grid is comprised of metal supports and a continuous lateral stop for maximum plate holding. Slag can be collected with raisable drawers or by Tecoi’s VIBRATEC® system. Fumes are extracted using Tecoi’s ECOTEC® filters and filtered dust is safely collected in the DUSTEC® system.

• New LS Series Laser Cutting Machine Adds Drilling & Tapping (Jun 17, 2025)
  Longview, TX…. Along with advanced laser cutting capabilities, Tecoi USA’s new LS Series Laser & Drilling Machine incorporates the choice of either one or two drilling heads, maximizing its large dimension laser processing cutting station capability–for steel service centers, manufacturers, and fabricators. Each drill head includes up to 6 tools, with 16.5 kW, (22 hp), 4000 rpm machining power per head, up to Ø16 drilling power and M12 tapping power, and a tooling change capability that can be accomplished in as fast as 0.8 seconds. Options include a Twin-Disk double-head cutting technology, a double core fiber system for thick and thin plate, and automatic beveling.
  
  With Driltec Plus, the LS Series Machine combination capability combines the latest in laser processing technology (for cutting areas from 10' x 20' to as large as 20' x 230') with drilling and tapping. This reduces the need for material handling by empowering users to also tap and drill smaller holes into a cut part. With it, users can drill holes up to 7/8" and tap holes up to 5/8". Driltec Plus is now available for all LS Series Machines.
  
  The LS Series Laser and Drilling Machine with Driltec Plus offers other options and features including CAP, Tecoi’s automatic pallet changing system; Icetec, Tecoi’s water misting system; Vibratec, Tecoi’s dross evacuation system; a variety of marking options; and Stocktec, Tecoi’s automatic storage system.
  
  LS Series Laser Machines have a fully automated mobile system design, which is coordinated with the movement of the machine along its entire length. • TRF Solves Critical Welding Edge Preparation Problems (Jun 17, 2025)
  Longview, TX…. Tecoi USA has recently introduced the TRF Plate Processing Machine, a solution for heavy welding edge preparation and drilling. The machine is designed for applications where large machining milling capacities are required for medium and large thicknesses. It is an optimal solution for industries with demanding regulations that require critical welding edge preparation, such as wind tower fabrication, civil construction, shipbuilding, large steel structures, large vessels, and petrochemical infrastructure.
  The TRF incorporates CBM® Cold Bevel Milling technology to create complex bevels in a single, high-speed cut. This results in improved quality and dimensional tolerance, without affecting the material properties of the metal. The edges do not need to be cleaned after the bevel is cut, and the quality issues common with thermal beveling are eliminated. Bevels for narrow gap welding can be milled in one pass. Customized milling tools with specific geometries are available.
  In addition to the CBM® Cold Bevel Milling technology, the TRF Plate Processing Machine also features an automatic multi-head system that duplicates productivity in the same processing station. A built-in automatic tool storage selection system is also available, capable of storing and configuring five tools for each job. A marking system can be provided for laser, plasma, scribing, micro-percussion, and ink, with options available for text, numbers, bar codes, auxiliary lines, etc. Tecoi's exclusive Vibratec® chip evacuation system can also be added as an option, which can save users up to 40% in cleaning operations, waste removal, and machine downtime.

• New Tecoi BevelArc 3D Increases Cutting Reach Capability to 90 Degrees (Jun 17, 2025)
  Longview, TX…. The new BevelArc 3D, from Tecoi USA, adds an additional axis, increasing the cutting reach capability of their line of plasma, oxyfuel, and laser plate processing machinery. With it, cutting heads can now be positioned from 0 degrees to as much as 90 degrees from a vertical position, providing more efficiency than other systems. This expanded cutting head reach capability is especially important for cutting and fabricating pressure vessel tank heads–as well as cutting difficult shapes and profiles from beams, plates, and tubes.
  
  With the new BevelArc 3D, users can perform continuous beveling by tilting, without unnecessary torch turning. Since the torch does not have to move, it is not necessary to make loops to recover torch position, except in rare cases where the finishing of the corners requires it. Unlike most bevel heads limited to +/- 45°, the BevelArc 3D provides a real advantage for cutting shapes that typically cannot be processed on typical thermal cutting machines.
  
  Other advantages of the new Tecoi BevelArc 3D are easy operation and adjustment, automatic restart after collision, automatic proportional height control, and high precision roller runners. The BevelArc 3D can be easily adapted to any Tecoi USA plate processing machine.

• Stocktec Provides Advanced Automatic Plate Storage and Processing (Jun 17, 2025)
  Longview, TX…. Tecoi USA’s Stocktec automatic plate storage and processing system increases overall productivity by reducing operation time and expanding storage capacity. The independent tray system is designed to store and dispense materials immediately based on production needs. Stocktec is designed to work well with all Tecoi USA large format plate processing machines, as well as almost any plate processing system. By combining automated material handling with large format plate cutting and machining, users benefit from an advanced total plate processing solution. It can be integrated with up to ten cutting machines or function as a standalone storage system.
  
  Automated Stocktec systems are designed with a lift that sends trays to pre-assigned destinations in the storage tower. With robust design, Stocktec stores up to 25 tons of material per tray. It then processes material by unloading and reloading processed plates for storage. With the Stocktec system production never stops. Material operation efforts are maximized, while production time and costs are minimized. Stocktec is easily customized to any production need. The trays can be configured for storage, laser cutting, plasma cutting, oxyfuel cutting, machining, or a combination of several functions within the same system.
  
  Stocktec is well-suited for Industry 4.0 environments, enabling full automation and seamless integration of the production process, including high-level systems such as MES. Equipped with a Fanuc CNC, it efficiently tracks stock and remnants, simplifying plate handling and the overall tracking system.
