• BZI and InnovaTech to Feature Construction Innovations BeamChamp and SkyBra (Sep 04, 2025)
  BZI® (bzi.com), a leading steel and construction company nationally recognized for transformative innovations and exceptional project delivery, announced today the company and its affiliate, InnovaTechÒ, will showcase breakthrough construction equipment, such as BeamChampÒ and SkyBrace®, at FABTECH Expo booth #A5974, from September 8-11, 2025 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
  
  The company also announced BZI COO, Thomas Harker, will speak at the conference on Wednesday, September 10^th at 3:00 pm at Session: F095 “Structural Steel Innovations.” His presentation, “The Connection Between Fabrication and Panelization,” will share how BZI’s unique manufacturing and building methods are revolutionizing the construction industry. These unique innovations are attracting world-renowned customers and accelerating project delivery through innovation and team performance, while also setting new standards in safety and efficiency.

  • BeamChamp® is a patented next-generation beam rotation system designed to optimize ergonomics and weld positioning while dramatically improving operator safety. Designed for fabrication shops, BeamChamp offers advanced safety and productivity features. Available in two models: the BeamChamp 30 with a 30,000-lb capacity per set of 2 and the BeamChamp 50 with a 50,000-lb capacity per set of 2.

   

  • SkyBrace™ is a rigid-brace system, engineered for commercial and industrial construction, that enables safer and more efficient builds by replacing traditional cable X-bracing.

  
  One of BZI’s first five employees, Harker has been an instrumental part of building the business from the ground up. He began his career erecting pole barns and pre-engineered buildings in his home of Southern Utah. He has held a variety of leadership and hands-on roles at BZI, including bolter, welder, equipment operator, foreman, superintendent, and regional manager. He’s overseen some of the largest structural steel projects BZI has completed, including pre-construction and specialty welding projects.
