 Press Releases

  • Louisville, KY; July 3, 2025 – VITRONIC will be at FABTECH 2025 in Chicago, IL from September 8-11 and will highlight its automatic vision inspection solutions for welded parts and demonstrate, alongside Lincoln Electric’s power-wave welding system, how they are tailored for vehicle manufacturing.

Automatic weld seam testing for safety-relevant vehicle parts
Defective welds can cause serious trouble for vehicle manufacturers, with potential for lawsuits and recalls that cost millions of dollars and a good reputation. Therefore, zero-defect tolerance is necessary for safety-relevant parts.
This is why OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers have been relying on VIRO WSI for decades: an optical inspection system that inspects every single weld seam and detects all relevant defects from 0.1 millimeter with 100% reliability, reducing defects, downtime, rework, and rejects. With CQI-15 coming into effect, automatic vision inspection systems like VIRO WSI have become even more necessary for vehicle manufacturers.

Optimize welding lines with software support
Guaranteeing high quality and zero defects while maintaining high productivity are difficult goals to achieve. Permanent process optimization is the ideal solution.

With VITRONIC’s Weldloop software, optimization can be accelerated significantly. It allows the data from the weld seam inspection to be linked with the data from the welding process, evaluated and visually displayed. Causes of deviations and defects can be identified and quickly eliminated, with minimal downtime. Conducting long-term analyses, further optimizations can be uncovered.

Experience VIRO WSI live at FABTECH 2025
VITRONIC will be showcasing the VIRO WSI alongside Lincoln Electric’s power-wave welding system on a Kuka robot at booth #B15033.
