 Press Releases

  • (Jun 27, 2025)
Drawing on an ample and diversified experience with aesthetical parts, Walmaz works in close cooperation with the customer in order to define the part design. This has also been achieved thanks to simulations and prototype equipment.
As the starting material is pre-painted steel with protective film, rotating bending punches and internal release movements have been used in order to ensure a precise and high-quality bending of the part. Thanks to this kind of devices no damage is caused on the part surface.
Furthermore, the customer has the possibility to adjust the bending during the production in order to compensate for the variations due to different raw material batches.
All of this has allowed the customer to:
    • Get high quality surface parts
    • Comply with the required dimensions
    • Optimize the productivity by shortening the time needed for the changeover and adjustment operations
  • We have an internal department who designs and manufactures prototype tools, as well as performs various trials in the press and supplies laser cut prototype samples. This allows Walmaz Stampi to supply an all-round service, which also includes the initial phase of product co-development, and the customer to validate the product before starting the manufacturing of the serial tools. Our technology, materials and knowledge allow us to supply extremely precise prototypes.

Before starting the design process and, often, to ensure an accurate cost estimate, Walmaz Stampi conducts a thorough Feasibility Analysis — one of the most crucial phases of the process.
The 3D drawing of the sheet metal part provided by the customer is carefully evaluated, whether it is an embossed, bent, or stamped piece.
During this analysis, potential elastic springback, possible material breakages caused by small radii or overly deep draws are simulated, considering the specific properties of the metal used.
For this process, Walmaz Stampi uses the market-leading software AUTOFORM R12, known not only for its precision in stamping simulations but also for advanced applications such as Digital Forming and Digital Process Twin.
This approach significantly reduces errors in design and manufacturing, ensuring high-quality components and more efficient processes.

 Products

  • 6-station transfer die for washing machine front panel
Die for drawing, cutting, bending and clinching of a front panel in prepainted steel without protective film.
90° sides are bent by cam slides and adjustable rotating punches.
Different part versions are produced thanks to a change-over by pneumatic cams.
