 Press Releases

  • Accurate Die Design Software, Inc. is the North American distributor for LogoPress, an AutoForm Company. LogoPress is the leading 3D die design software which runs inside of SOLIDWORKS. We focus on providing die design software, training, and support to companies in the tool & die and metal stamping industries as well as flattening and forming simulation software.
Accurate Die Design Software Inc. is also the North American Reseller for Stampack, Forming Simulation Software for tool designers. Due to shell and solid technology included in one software, Stampack covers the full range from extremely fast calculation to highest precision for the final validation.

  • Software for Die Design, Flattening, and Simulation
Accurate Die Design Software, Inc. is the North American Reseller and Technical & Training Center for LogoPress die design software.

LogoPress has been developing die design software since 1989 for the tool & die industry. LogoPress is an add-in for SOLIDWORKS CAD and can be used for various steps of the die design process to assist with quoting, flattening, strip nesting, strip layout creation, die design, punch nesting, drawing creation, and even motion and forming simulations.

LogoPress includes many functions to help with complex design elements. Flatten out formed parts in stages or unbend parts progressively with the ability to quickly represent springback and partial unbends. Automate the geometry of your cutting punches and forming punches, with these being linked to your strip layout. With the entire die design being parametric, changes you make to the original part will be reflected in the strip layout with punches, plates, and drawings updating to the new design. This also allows LogoPress to give up-to-date information on the die, including estimated forming forces, scrap percentages, spring forces, and force centers, along with an organized BOM automatically created with each section of the die separated and purchased parts called out.

Reduce time spent on the die design by automating many processes with various functions and tools inside of LogoPress. After specifying the geometry of the part for each station, have the entire strip layout created automatically using your strip progression input and include any idle stations as desired. Have all clearance holes for punches, slugs, and inserts made automatically. Insert purchased parts from a component library populated by parts from dozens of suppliers, consisting of fasteners, lifters, standard punches, guide posts, springs, and pilots. While creating the die, drawing files for all parts are automatically created with views, title block, and dimensions populated.

Utilize LogoPress to find issues on the computer before getting to the tryout press. When dealing with complex forms, get a first look at stress, strain, or any thinning predicted for the final part. For round draw components, LogoPress can create all stations needed to achieve the final part geometry using forming calculations to automatically control K-factors of each station. Simulate further with LogoPress DIE DEBUGGER™, a motion simulation tool that includes dynamic interference detection to help debug dies virtually. Fully simulate your part in each forming station by using LogoPress ProgSim to find failing areas in your part, identify springback, and develop punches to make sure you produce parts in tolerance and reduce the time needed on the shop floor.

  • Accurate Die Design Software, Inc. is the North American Reseller and Technical & Training Center for Stampack forming simulation software.
Stampack is an intuitive forming simulation software that is equally suitable for tool designers and estimators due to its ease of use and depth of information provided.
Stampack includes shell and SOLID simulation solvers, offering the ability to simulate everything from large automotive line dies to tiny electrical and medical progressive and transfer dies. Additionally, it can simulate coining, ironing, deep-drawing, and other cold forming operations that competing software cannot recognize on the part.
Most forming simulation software packages on the market utilize shell simulation solvers. Stampack includes a shell simulation solver but revolutionizes the industry by also offering a high-accuracy SOLID simulation solver. While shell simulations are typically accurate for thin materials with larger radii, for those parts that don’t meet that criteria, solid simulations provide more accurate results because they simulate the part using 6-sided elements that are created in layers through the entire thickness of the metal. The extreme accuracy of the results in Trim Optimization (automatic blank development), Springback Compensation, and Tolerance Check is all due to the solid simulation analyzing all the elements throughout the material thickness. Having elements through the thickness also means that you can see just how far away your part is from failure and where orange peel or cracks will be present.
Stampack eliminates the need for creating physical prototypes and thus reduces time and costs in the product manufacturing process.

  •  Software for Die Design, Flattening and Simulation
Accurate Die Design Software, Inc. is the North American Reseller and Technical & Training Center for LogoPress die design software.

LogoPress has been developing die design software since 1989 for the tool & die industry as well as flattening and blank prediction software. In December 2018, LogoPress became an AutoForm company and has enhanced the simulation features of the software.
One of LogoPress’ newest products is ProgSimX which is an affordable, easy-to-use, and highly accurate virtual tryout press that runs as an add-in inside of SOLIDWORKS and LogoPress DieDesign or DieDesign PREMIUM software and will simulate any size parts.
ProgSimX quickly performs accurate simulations of forming processes using incremental simulation technology powered by industry-proven AutoForm solver technology. ProgSimX allows the user to determine formability and springback at the strip layout stage of a die design. Some of the results provided include thinning, wrinkling, splitting, springback, stress, strain, etc.
ProgSimX includes automatic blank development with Cut Optimizer and adds the ability to automatically update the punch sketches in your strip assembly with tangent lines and arcs after it has reached the target deviation (tolerance from nominal) set by the user. Don't go in and out of the press several times as you develop the blank, measuring and cutting blanks each time, let ProgSimX do it automatically!

  • Software for Die Design, Flattening and Simulation
Accurate Die Design Software, Inc. is the North American Reseller and Technical & Training Center for LogoPress die design software.

DIE DEBUGGER™ is a motion simulation tool that includes dynamic interference detection to help debug dies virtually. DIE DEBUGGER is included in both LogoPress DieDesign and DieDesign Premium.

DIE DEBUGGER has a very quick setup where users can simulate the motion of the press stroke, stripper, and strip movement with only a few inputs. This can even be done for dies created in other software and then imported into the SOLIDWORKS based LogoPress software. More advanced motions like cams, lifters, rotary/rocker tooling, and transfer systems can be simulated as well. With this, many different types of dies and configurations can be simulated such as progressive dies, transfer dies (including transfer arms and fingers), four slide machines, or even a simple hand insertion die.

The motion of slugs can also be added to make sure that all die openings have been added at the correct size for every slug. The strip can also be verified so that as it lifts and progresses it does not run into any tooling incorrectly. You even have the ability to test various strip starting positions in order to find the optimal insertion depth for new strips.

Fully simulating your die cycling up and down can drastically reduce the time spent in the tryout press and reduce re-designs and last-minute changes that are needed to have a reliable and smooth-running die.

 Products

  • CAPY-Q.form (Robustness Analysis)
Stampack forming simulation software has added a new product: CAPY-Q.form used for varying material properties, pad pressures, friction, and blank misalignment in a single forming simulation setup. Min and Max values for material properties and die design can be evaluated simultaneously.

These parameters can vary significantly, which leads to big impacts on the results, including the scrap rate. To manually check every variation, countless simulations would be necessary. With the CAPY-Q.form module, you can evaluate all variations and their effects on your part during forming....

  • Stampack Forming Simulation With Shell & Solid Simulations
Stampack is a forming simulation software that includes both shell simulations (for their speed) and SOLID simulations (for their accuracy and robust results), offering the ability to simulate everything from large automotive line dies to tiny electrical and medical progressive and transfer dies. Solid simulations also show precise locations and depths of cracks and orange peel.

Stampack includes automatic blank development and compensation of punches due to springback results. Additionally, it can simulate coining, ironing, deep-drawing, and other cold forming operations.
