 Press Releases

  • Nelson Stud Welding, a Stanley Engineered Fastening Company, has partnered with our Armed Forces to develop a portable battery powered stud welder.  The N900b is the latest development from the global leader in stud welding products and services.  The 65lbs welder utilizes a hig-tech LFP battery with touch screen LCD controls.  Please visit the Nelson booth at the Fabtech show in November for a live demonstration.
  • From the leader in stud welding, Nelson Stud Welding is proud to present its latest innovation in concrete anchorage and reinforcement; the patented D6L, A706 rebar stud anchor.

It is a fully stud-weldable rebar stud anchor meeting the specification requirements of ASTM A706 Grade 60 Rebar. Nelson D6L's can be installed without the need for costly pre-heat treatments, certified welding labor and does not require specialized equipment.

Nelson's Rebar Studs can be utilized for many different applications and meet the requirements for most global design specifications.  Contact your local Nelson representation today for more details.

  • Nelson N900b Stud Welder
Patent pending battery-powered welder delivers hundreds of welds up to 1/2" in diameter from a single charge. The cordless welding system utilizes the Flexible Arc Control System (FACS) with a multi-functional LCD touch screen....

  • The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery offers the latest technology for customers demanding the ultimate in portability and precision.  Weighing just 65 lbs and with the exclusive Nelson designed telescoping handle, the N900b can easily travel to any workplace requiring stud welding.  The advanced battery control system protects the battery by monitoring and controlling the charge/discharge cycles and envirnomental conditions.  A single battery charge will weld over 400 3/8" diameter studs, and more than 200 1/2" studs.  Connecting the charger to the welder and a standard 120V household power outlet will charge teh battery in between welds, providing nearly unlimited capacity.  The latest FACS circuitry uses cutting edge microprocessor controls and will provide optional Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.  The new motorized gun driver module developed for the FACS system will allow customers to use standard weld guns as well as new linear motor weld guns.  Please visit the Nelson Fabtech booth for a live welding demonstration this November.
