Slatpro offers a variety of products to enhance productivity for laser users. The Slaghog is an electric tool that removes tough slag and dross buildup from the slats of laser cutting surfaces. The lightweight unit is designed to cut through slag from copper and steel support slats from 0.075 to 0.25 thick and cleans slats of various lengths. With regular maintenance, cleaning slat beds takes as little as 10 to 15 minutes.
Slat Shield Plus is offered as a slag preventive to reduce slag build-up. It is a water based product that is sprayed on new or recently cleaned slats and reduces spatter on the back side of cut parts, lowering maintenance and increasing slat life. Removing parts from the cut skeleton is made easier with the Rhino Hammer, a pneumatically powered hand tool that creates vibration and breaks the tab loose that holds the part. Other magnetic hand tools are offered that simplifies removing finished parts
The company manufactures copper and copper hybrid slats for all makes of equipment. Copper slats typically last six to eight times longer than steel slats, resulting in less downtime for replacement and less slag buildup.
