Want to mobilize your game ... Video King’s new VeriPowerPlay gives you the power to play Bingo virtually anywhere.

Not only is this portable, all-in-one Bingo system easy to transport, but cost-effective, bypassing the need for heavy equipment, such as blowers and flashboards.

In fact, it’s the ideal solution for smaller venues, such as senior centers, RV parks, churches, condo associations, bars, community centers, TV and radio Bingo, as well as aboard cruise ships.

The VeriPowerPlay is essentially Video King’s PowerPlay software on a laptop computer. In other words, our PowerPlay Bingo desk without the balls.

The laptop verifier, with optional random number generator, is able to verify most known paper perms. (But please check your jurisdiction regarding RNG.)

It can also be used with a small, ball-draw cage or any other simple ball-draw method. Equipped with VGA and HDMI outputs, the verifier will run video flashboards. No other equipment is needed, other than a TV or projector screen.

It can also be played on a wired version of Video King’s FreedomPlay, a new generation of digital flashboards, featuring customizable layouts, high-def graphics, animation, scrolling messages and many other highlights – in a variety of themes. (Additional hardware required.)

Once again, Video King – with this convenient-to-carry, laptop design – has broadened its scope and proven to be the go-to place for gaming, now offering Bingo-to-go.

Let freedom reign as Video King unveils the Freedom Play, our new wireless flashboard, using state-of-the-art, gaming technology.

A dazzling display – set in vivid colors with dynamic animations – the wireless flashboard frees you up from excess cabling, wiring, hardware components, maintenance, equipment costs and other limitations.

In addition, you’ll have the luxury of showcasing your own advertisements and multi-media presentations, customizable game display options, higher-resolution graphics –featuring “Champ,” our canine mascot – and other visual elements, upping the excitement and enhancing your hall’s entire entertainment value.

Did we mention the sky’s the limit, meaning you can virtually display your Bingo game on to as many screens, at any size, as you’d like. You’re free to choose the make, model and dimensions, as long as it is high-definition TV, with HDMI port, standard for video transmission.

“The Freedom Play offers our customers a whole new player experience, giving them the freedom to do what they want,” according to Peggy Hansen, Video King’s Regional Sales and Bingo Hall Equipment Manager.

“The graphics, with better quality animation, are a big portion of its appeal, offering a high-definition view of the board. Unique features include spinning Bingo cards, flashing last number called, last ten balls called, winner notifications and other fun elements designed to entertain the crowd.”

For more variety, customers have their choice of seven flashboard themes: Max Contrast, Inverted, Traditional, Classic, 5-Color (as seen on the CHAMP-e tablets), Flowers and Shamrocks, so they’re not locked into just one scenario.

In addition, customers can add their own logos and scrolling message to display across the screen, whether be it promotions, daily specials or other important announcements, which can be edited in real time at the hall level.

The total entertainment package, the Freedom Play Flashboards can also be used for TV programs, by switching the source input on the remote control, and/or in-hall advertising and other forms of entertainment to generate more revenue for the hall.

“As far as installation, this product will be a much simpler process to install compared to our previous version of a high-definition flashboard,” Hansen said. “However, Video King’s 24-hour Help Desk is always available if anyone ever needs assistance,” she added.

The Freedom Play software package includes a small, hand-held device, which plugs into the back of each screen used. Customers will provide their own TVs.

    System Requirements

The wireless system can run on any Video King console, equipped with PowerPlay software, which meets the following requirements:

    • Series 16 or above PowerPlay desk
    • Server software 2012 or 2016 for networked environments
    • Minimum e-Bos version 5.3.0.17
    • Minimum Windows® 7 or 10
    • The system can also be hard-wired, via a Cat 5 cable.

“The Freedom Play Wireless Flashboard is so much better than what we had in the past. I am excited about the future as we evolve and the big things that will come,” Hansen said.

  • Milestone In Video King History

GLI Approves PokerNanza Linked, Multi-Site Version

    Click To Download Flier!

OMAHA, NE – It’s a momentous occasion ... Video King is game, and trying its “hand” at something new …

“Video King is pleased to announce it has received approval from GLI for its linked and interactive, multi-site progressive version of PokerNanza,® a Class II Bingo game,” according to Phil Sherwood, the company’s Director, Class II Gaming.

“This is a significant milestone in Video King’s history, as this is the company’s first server-based, Class II game offering. PokerNanza brings all of the excitement of a true Video Draw Poker game in the form of a Class II Bingo game, which will be played on mobile, handheld Android tablets, called the CHAMP-e,” he said.

Setting the highest standards, GLI (Gaming Laboratories International) is a leading testing and certification services company within the gaming industry, with more than 25 years in land-based, lottery and iGaming testing, and trusted by regulators in more than 475 jurisdictions throughout the world.

    Game, A Winning Combination

“PokerNanza is unlike any other Class II Poker game that has ever been delivered to the market, as it allows the players to actually utilize true skill in the playing of the Poker portion of the game,” Sherwood said.

“Because of the mobile aspect of the tablets, casinos and players can choose where in the casino that they want to play this awesome new game. The mobility element can lead to the games being played in areas like bars, restaurants, Bingo rooms, player lounges, etc. – as designated by the casino,” he added.

Virtual Jackpot, In Terms Of Gaming

PokerNanza is the “next big thing”’ in Class II and Charitable Gaming, according to Gary Loebig, a gaming industry veteran, who designed Video King’s patented, new game.

“In the Class II market, there has never been a Class II Video Draw Poker Game with the look, paytable, and play action of a true Las Vegas Video Draw Poker game, until now,” he said.

“PokerNanza is a Class II game with all the attributes of a Class III game. It is Bingo, but looks, plays and pays like a Class III Las Vegas Video Draw Poker game. Plus, it has huge   progressive jackpots – in the tens of thousands of dollars – in addition to the standard “Jacks or Better” prize paytable and Bingo prize payouts,” he said.

“And, it plays fast. Play of 300- to 500-plus hands per hour are achievable, depending on how good the players are at making card-playing decisions,” he added.

Why’s This Such A Great Deal

“For many Class II facilities, the one big hole in the gaming options they offer their players has been a true Class II Video Poker game. By this we mean, a Class II Video Draw Poker game that has the look, paytable and play action of a Class III Las Vegas Video Draw Poker game,” Loebig explained.

    Not that they haven’t tried.

“There have been many attempts at creating a Non-Class III Video Draw Poker game, but they have fallen short in their ability to attract Video Poker players – primarily because of their play action and decision-making deficiencies. Meaning, players cannot change their Video Poker cards to get a better hand. This is primarily evidenced by the players’ inability to throw away a winning hand,” he said.

To attract players, the facility needs an authentic game.

“Like the players, the facility also wants a game with the capability that allows the player to throw away a winning hand, but for a different reason. The reason is profitability.

“While good players like the opportunity to better their hand and to increase their chances of winning a prize or a better prize, the house counts on players, who are not good players, players who make mistakes and play sub-optimally, to increase the facility’s profits,” he explained.

“So, if a “Jacks Or Better” full-pay game is a 9/7 game, with a 97.5 percent theoretical payout, then poor play lowers the actual payout substantially, maybe to an actual payout of 90 percent or 92 percent, or even less. This means the win for the house could increase from 2.5 percent to 8 percent or 10 percent or even more, equivalent to the win from some spinning reel games,” he added.

    All In … There’s Even More …

“We also look forward to expanding our future game content utilizing the combined server-based system and mobile platforms,” Sherwood said, of plans for further options.

To learn more or arrange a web demo, please call Sherwood at (800) 635-9912, Ext. 6849, or e-mail him at psherwood@vkge.com.

It has romance, rivalry and, of course, Bingo. And it all begins in a bowling alley as Bingo players slip into an all-new realm through their gaming devices in one of Video King’s most innovative spins yet in Class II gaming.

BowlaNanza,™ Video King’s newest animated caper, spans the world of Bingo and Bowling, as players rack up points, taking the traditional QuickShot game to a whole new “lane” in game design.

The King Pin of Bingo games, BowlaNanza features a storyline, cast amongst a group of up-and-coming bowlers, villainous characters, rolling balls and tumbling pins – all spliced between free cards and highly inventive bonus rounds – sure to strike a chord among players.

One could say, it’s a modern-day marriage of today’s multi-generation’s most popular pastimes, Bingo and Bowling, set amid black lights and strobes and swanky alleys, based on QuickShot, a multi-card game played with 24 pre-called numbers and a scalable pay table, that raises and lowers based on the player’s wager.

“It’s not just a new coat of paint,” according to John Mowat, project manager, who has put his spin and polish on the production from start to finish. “It’s like incorporating a romantic comedy into a game. It’s new and different, but even more dramatic with a bonus layer, which gives the player the chance to feel like they’re actually bowling, followed by character development and next chapter of the story unfolding.”

And, to guarantee its popularity, the concept, developed by Video King’s team of engineers, was based on feedback from Bingo managers, distributors as well as players, by tapping into today’s most popular themes.

Playable on the CHAMP-e™, Video King’s new, wireless gaming tablet, BowlaNanza is all part of QuickShot’s evolution, said Mowat, to build more excitement and attract a new league of younger players.

    … Continued On Following Page

“Lineage is important in these projects,” he explained, as Video King progressed from single-card QuickShot games, like Hurricane™ and Buccaneer Bonanza™, to adding more cards, cartoon characters such as dancing aliens and astronauts, and increasing levels of animation, as in K9 Cash,™ QuickShot McDraw,™ Bing O’ Lucky™ and MoonShot.™

“We’re really excited about the whole process,” he said, playing a major role in the game’s evolution. Mermaid’s Quest™ and Potion Commotion,™ the previous generation, were Video King’s first chance to build in characters – whether they take you to a mysterious cave or ancient shipwreck, with the addition of free cards and their themed bonus rounds, much like slots.

Taking it to a whole other level, BowlaNanza, builds on the progression.

“It’s almost like watching a movie,” he said. “The big creative risk we’re taking is to try and reach a bigger audience by bringing in characters who aren’t just mascots on the side of the screen, but part of an actual storyline that the player unlocks.”

To preserve the suspense, we’ll “spare” the more specific details, but here’s basically how it all unfolds …  In this bowler girl meets bowler boy scenario, it begins much like any other QuickShot theme. Players select their cards and the denomination they want to play. As the numbers are called, the girl begins to bowl. As she rolls her ball down the lane, the animation, a giant bowling ball, sweeps across and marks the cards on screen, like a scoreboard, flanked across the top.

To cut to the chase, the story plays out over seven chapters – but with all good cliffhangers – one must wait. Each time the player earns a bonus round, it is then followed by the next part of the story.

But if story telling’s not exactly your bag, BowlaNanza is one game that definitely won’t lack or lag.

Players who prefer a more traditional experience, can turn off the storyline at any time – allowing them to get the most amount of play, while still getting the look and feel of the game.

Besides, there’re plenty of other innovations, like the free cards and interactive bonus rounds – to keep the excitement rolling – and bound to bowl you over!

What’s your bag … Rather where’d you get that bag? Same goes for those cushions, mugs, key chains and other Bingo items, you’ve been toting.

That will soon be heard throughout Florida and beyond as Bingo Video King launches its new line of merchandise, geared toward Bingo players.

Why? Not only are these bags and cushions superior quality, but offer a vast variety of fabrics and styles. They range from stars and stripes to animal prints, cats, dog paws, bones and skulls, floral patterns, and of course, Bingo cards and balls, according to Cindy Warfield, manager of BVK’s Tampa location.

That’s because Bingo Video King, a division of Video King, has partnered with a new vendor, which uses laser technology to print their fabrics.

“Sales have really jumped because of it,” said Warfield. “It’s a whole different technology. It’s really bright and colorful.”

And, to make them even more unique, the bags and cushions are all customizable, according to Jeff McIntosh, general manager of BVK’s Fort Lauderdale location.

For a minimum order of 100, customers can print virtually anything on their Bingo bags and cushions, ranging from their company’s logo to their own photos – be it favorite people, pets, places or personal possessions.

Plus, they can take “comfort” in knowing the Bingo cushions are all made from consistent quality foam – no end pieces – which, if you ask any Bingo player – can help soften many a chair.

“It’s the best quality Bingo cushion I have seen in the market,” McIntosh said, of their new selections.

And, discounts can be applied for orders of 10 or more, according to Warfield, who touts the cushions and bags – with plenty of room for change purses and kitschy items, such as those dear-to-players lucky charms – can also be used for non-bingo purposes.

So, if you’re planning a gala, grand opening, product launch or special event, a personalized touch will be sure to leave a lasting imprint.
