Vanderbilt MS Applied Clinical Informatics
The MS‑ACI program is a fully online, applied graduate degree that equips working clinicians and healthcare professionals with skills in clinical informatics, clinical decision support, digital health, and AI in medicine. Coursework is delivered in both synchronous and asynchronous formats to support working professionals. The program requires 36 credits along with 240 hours of supervised practical experience on interdisciplinary health IT teams. Students complete an applied capstone project that integrates informatics concepts with real‑world healthcare challenges. Graduates are eligible to sit for the AMIA Health Informatics Certification (AHIC) and often advance into leadership roles in clinical operations, quality improvement, digital health, and informatics.
