Institute of Spanish Studies

  • Booth: 1637

Since 1950, The Institute of Spanish Studies has offered courses of language, literature, art, history, geography, civilization and culture, in Valencia (Spain). Designed and taught by staff who have years of experience working with university students at all levels of study - from beginners to advanced students, in collaboration with US universities. All of this at an outstanding Southern European location on the Mediterranean coast.

We offer two Summer Sessions with classes from beginning to graduate levels. For intermediate or advanced students we recommend our Fall or Spring Semester or an entire school year as well as specialized faculty-led programs for colleges and universities.

Spanish Teachers can enjoy our Summer Institute for Spanish Teachers (SIST) during two weeks in July. Participants will spend two weeks living with Spanish families, attending classes and visiting sites of cultural and historical significance, all the while enjoying interactions with native speakers. At the end of the session we will take a short tour to Andalucia (Cordoba and Granada).

We are an authorized SIELE testing center.
