Earn your MA in Spanish Language Teaching from the Summer Language Institute for Spanish Teachers - Southern Oregon University's innovative graduate program focused specifically on the needs of Spanish language teachers. We also welcome non-degree-seeking students who wish to earn graduate credit. Our program is held abroad at the Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico, where our students immerse themselves in local language and culture, and make lasting connections with fellow language teachers.
We offer a unique, intensive curriculum designed to strengthen your language proficiency, teaching expertise and cultural understanding. Classes are held in two three-week sessions each summer, and MA students can earn their degree in as few as three years. All students attend at our special reduced tuition rate, regardless of their state residency, and affordable homestays are available with local host families.
Our application period for Summer 2023 is open - the priority deadline is March 1st. Our 2023 session dates are June 2th-July 14 and July 16-August 4th. Attendees are warmly invited to visit our booth and learn more - we look forward to seeing you!
