Come learn about a handful of exciting new virtual engagement tools! On the residential side, we’ll talk about an innovative approach to wirelessly accessing real-time meter data from both smart and drive-by meters, and how that’s helping electric and gas utilities engage customers and implement behavioral load management programs. For commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, we’ll discuss Virtual Commissioning as a new approach that uses advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) data to actively identify and engage customers. With an algorithm that identifies businesses with the most potential to save energy, customers can be coached on how to implement low-cost customized efficiency measures. Finally, we’ll highlight online shopping pilots using Choice Engine technology and partnerships with retailers. These Efficient Choice pilots help to eliminate barriers and nudge customers towards more efficient purchases, spanning dozens of electric and gas categories.
