The Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC) is dedicated to the goal that all Americans with serious illness, especially the sickest and most vulnerable, receive comprehensive, high-quality, person- and family-centered care that is consistent with their goals and values and honors their dignity. We will achieve this by empowering consumers, changing the health delivery system, improving public and private policies, and enhancing provider capacity.

    C-TAC pursues a comprehensive policy agenda to help guide advocacy initiatives, including delivery system reform, preference-driven care, caregiver and consumer support, and professional engagement.

    We will continue to pursue legislative and regulatory strategies on the federal and state level with C-TAC members to ensure that those living with advanced illness have access to high-quality, person- and family-centered care.

    2021 C-TAC National Policy Forum

    May 12th 12pm - 5pm ET

    The 2021 C-TAC Policy Forum will feature two, 2-hour segments, as well as a one-hour break. The event will feature keynote remarks from leaders in our field and roundtables where experts will dive deep into the most pressing policy issues that affect your work. Engage with changemakers in policy as we reflect on the first 100 days of the Biden Administration and explore where we go from here.

    In his new book, Good Business: The Talk, Fight, Win Way to Change the World, C-TAC’s Co-Founder and Co-Chair Bill Novelli outlines several key strategies which will help C-TAC achieve its moonshot goal – that 12 million people with serious illness have a high quality of life by 2030. From doing well by doing good to working with purpose, he offers essential advice won over the course of a career addressing social problems.

    For this fireside chat, Bill will be joined by other leaders in the healthcare field: Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association and a member of C-TAC’s Board of Directors; and American Hospital Association President and CEO Rick Pollack. They will discuss the themes of Good Business as they relate to serious illness care and C-TAC’s work.
