The PowerMe™ charging table and Aria Seating System by Street Furniture Australia will launch this week in the US at the ASLA Annual Meeting and Expo in Philadelphia.
Aria and PowerMe allow communities to sit back, relax and recharge their devices, and to work, dine and socialise outdoors in public space.
Join us for this exciting debut at Booth 1439 - come say g’day, charge up your phone, and try our new Build ARIA augmented reality app.
PowerMe is a charging table that integrates with a range of Street Furniture Australia seats, including the Aria Seating System, so you can sit back, relax and recharge. We’ve all been caught without battery while out and about: PowerMe provides peace of mind with indoor and outdoor charging suitable for public spaces.
The table features wireless induction and usb ports for your phone or tablet, and power outlets for your laptop - with a modular design that is simple to upgrade as technology changes. It’s also a great place for your coffee and sandwich.
The generous clamshell housing makes for easy maintenance and has space for optional WiFi and sensors. An ambient blue light guides users at night, and switches off in case of power outages to alert site managers.
Aria Seating System
The Aria Seating System is a kit of parts that allows designers to create custom configurations with standard modules. Tailor your setting to suit the community with opportunities to work, dine and socialize outdoors.
Aria parts include one, two and three-seater benches and seats, connector modules in 180, 90 and 45 degrees, and optional armrests. Configure these using CAD blocks or our new Build ARIA augmented reality app for iPhone and iPad that brings your creation to life onscreen in your office or onsite.
Possible configurations include Ring, Curved, S and C-Shapes, Back to Back and Transit Seats. Get creative and provide tailored amenity for your community, with standard parts in site-specific settings.
Add PowerMe Tables with optional WiFi so users can recharge and connect on the go, integrated with Aria seamlessly along an axle.
Quantifying the Impact of Design
All delegates are invited to join our Urban Design PPN EXPO tour to see how we’ve quantified the impact of design with activation projects in Australia.
In 2016 #BackyardExperiment, an eight-day activation in Canberra, attracted nearly 250% more dwellers to spend time in a thoroughfare. Social groups increased by up to 780%. Learn how we achieved this, how we measured it, and how we hope to create similar results with user-centered design in a second six-month project.
This project attracted international attention, featuring in CityLab by the Atlantic, Architecture and Design, and mentioned at the Main Street Now Conference in 2017.
Landscape architects may earn PDH by joining this Professional Practice Network (PPN) tour on Sunday October 21, from 9.45am to 10.45am - go to PPN Live to register, only 30 places available.
With more than 30 years of experience working with landscape architects, Councils, asset managers and contractors to furnish public spaces, Street Furniture Australia is pleased to debut PowerMe and Aria at the ASLA Expo.
We are looking forward to meeting you at Booth 1439 - look out for the Bronte Beach banner. To arrange a chat with our ASLA team, please schedule an appointment via your personal Expo planner.
