PaverGuide-advancing permeable paving out of the stone age.
PaverGuide is a stormwater infiltration chamber that replaces stone as a base and reservoir below permeable paving. Paver restraints and pipe easily attach to the system, and pavers can be aligned two times faster than on a stone base. PaverGuide has a 90% void space and can store as much water in its 3-1/2" depth as 10" of stone, reducing the depth of excavation and reducing the amount of spoils removed, and the amount of stone transported, placed, and compacted. PaverGuide can store a 3" rain event in a single layer, and if more storage is required they can be stacked. Paverguide spreads traffic loads eliminating additional compaction of the soil which is bemeficial for street trees. PaverGuide's low profile system is a low cost option for permeable pavement installations in the urban streetscape where infrastructure obstructions increase the labor cost for deep reservoir systems.
