North Island Guide Outfitters' entire hunting program has been built around a warm, friendly, welcoming hunting experience, while at the same time focusing on giving each hunter a truly first-class hunt for the bear of their dreams. Prime bear hunting is from late April through mid-June each spring.  This is a spot and stalk hunt, which is a very exciting and rewarding way to harvest your black bear. You will be personally accompanied by your own friendly, knowledgeable, professional bear guide for the entire hunt. It really doesn't matter if this is your first big game hunt, or one of many serious hunts you've had, you will have an excellent chance of fulfilling your goal of harvesting a trophy bear. There's no shortage of bears here on Vancouver Island.... each of our hunters will typically encounter 30-50 bears on an average five-day hunt with us. Vancouver Island is home to one of the very few populations of genetically pure Roosevelt Elk. For this reason, the Province of BC has taken a cautious approach to managing these animals, and as such they are hunted on a very strict quota basis. We host six hunts each fall, and kill six bulls on these hunts. This is a hunt where you can expect to harvest a mature trophy bull, in fact the vast majority of elk we take each fall qualify for the all-time Boone and Crockett Record Book. 

Our Roosevelt elk hunts are a ten-day one-on-one fully guided hunt which includes all meals and accomodations while on your hunt. The hunts occur from October 1'st-10'th and from October 10'th-19'th each fall, depending on which unit you are hunting.
