  • Sierra Madre Hunting has the exclusive rights to hunt over 900,000 acres of prime sheep land in the Northwest of Mexico, including mainland Sonora, South Baja & Tiburon Island or the option to take a sheep inside a fence estate.

    Free range sheep hunts:
Our 10 day free range hunts are conducted mainland Sonora or South Baja, mainly on foot by a previous truck or 4 wheeler transportation to the hunting area. After glassing and locating a shootable ram, the stalk will begin to try getting within 200-250 yards, but be prepared for longer shots if needed. During the past years, we have accomplished to hunt free range trophies ranging from 160” to 178”.

Safety is our main priority and be assured, that from your arrival, during the hunt and your departure, our team will be in charge to make the hunt as accessible as possible to any of our clients. Most of our free range hunts are based in west African style tented camps with bathroom, toilet, electricity and all the equipment and services in order to have the most comfortable possible camp, but the use of a spike camps in order to make the final approach, is very common.

    High Fence sheep hunts:
This 3 day hunts take place in a fenced ranch with a size that still allow the hunters to have a real hunting experience through the inside mountain range where the sheep roam. This is not a pen hunt. Our clients have the possibility to take a real big trophy for a very accessible price. Facilities, food and service are five star with individual bedrooms, en-suite bathroom, TV room, gourmet cuisine, alcoholic beverages, horseback riding among other amenities.

    Carmen Mountain Whitetail Deer

We hunt this whitetail deer in the Sierra del Burro, part of the the Carmen mountains, in the northern state of Coahuila, Mexico, endemic land for the Carminis deer. We provide high success 4 day hunts in a fantastic mountain landscape, great accommodations and unique personal service.

The Carmen Mountain is smaller than most of the whitetail in North America and weights up to 120 lbs, making this a tough task to find them behind any small rock or bush. The color of its coat matches perfectly with his habitat, making this a great camouflage. His great character and the fantastic hunting area around the oaks and pine trees, makes this a unique hunting experience.

This Mexican deer is one of the 5 new subspecies eligible for the SCI Record Book.

Hunt with us during December and January.  You need to fly into Monterrey International Airport and drive 6 hours to camp or take a charter flight. We have had 100% success rate on trophy bucks, since business inception.

Our 5 day Central Plateau deer hunts take place in the mountains of the Sierra Madre in state of Zacatecas during the months of January and February, so you will be hunting between 6,500 to 8,500 feet above sea.

All hunts are fair chase tracking on foot all the rolling hills and canyons of the Sierra Madre country, by a previous transportation in 4x4 vehicles up to the hunting area.

Once a trophy buck is located by glassing them, the “spot and stalk” method is used to get within shooting range, but when a trail or water pond is heavily used, a ground blind is a very good option to harvest a nice buck. We harvest every year a good amount of trophy bucks scoring over the 120 SCI mark. Our professional guides know perfectly the behavior of the bucks in the area and will do anything for you to have the best experience in Mexico.
