DANB and the DALE Foundation
The Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) is the nationally recognized certification board for dental assistants. Founded in 1948, DANB is the only national certification board for dental assistants recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). DANB also offers information services and resources related to dental assisting credentialing to support its mission.
The Dental Auxiliary Learning and Education Foundation (the DALE Foundation), an independent affiliate of the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc., benefits the public by providing quality education and conducting sound research to promote oral health. The DALE Foundation is a nonprofit organization and was founded by DANB in 2010. The DALE Foundation offers interactive online educational courses and resources to advance the dental team and prepare dental auxiliaries for DANB certification.
