Welcome to LGFCU! At LGFCU – you’re a member and an owner!

LGFCU is a member-owned not-for-profit financial cooperative. The Credit Union’s mission statement, "To improve the lives of our members," reflects the philosophy of the Board of Directors, comprised of volunteers elected by the Credit Union membership. This benefit is available to all local government employees, volunteers and their families in North Carolina. This includes municipal, county fire department employees and volunteer firefighters!

LGFCU’s primary purpose is to provide affordable financial services to members. Benefits are provided to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher interest rates on deposits and a nominal fee structure. Financial services include mortgage, vehicle and personal loans, savings, checking, money market, IRA and term certificate deposit accounts, online banking, in addition to many other services and features.
