F.I.E.R.O. (Fire Industry Education Resource Organization)

F.I.E.R.O. (Fire Industry Education Resource Organization), founded in September 1990, is a not-for-profit organization under the guidance of a Board of Directors. Its purpose is to improve firefighter health and safety through educational conferences.
In March 2000, F.I.E.R.O. offered the original Fire Station Design Symposium, and demand was so great it became an annual event.
In 2007, F.I.E.R.O. saw a need for education related to PPE and began work with an educational task group with the PPE project of NFPA to develop the first ever PPE Symposium held in March of 2009, now a biennial event.
In May 2014, F.I.E.R.O. offered the first one-day Regional Fire PPE Workshop devoted entirely to the selection, care and maintenance of your PPE and hopes to offer similar events around the country.
