In 2010, Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance began tracking and validating FF & EMS suicides. Our founder, Jeff Dill presents workshops across the US & Canada bringing behavioral health and suicide awareness to fire and EMS departments. He has traveled close to 1 million miles these past 10 years. Our data is recognized across fire organizations and media alike. FBHA has been mentioned in Congress for our work! FBHA has been recognized by many in the industry as the organization that started the behavioral health movement, in 2010, by collecting the suicide data in the fire and EMS services.
FBHA has begun to consult with fire departments on creating behavioral health programs. This consists of a 12-point plan from Academy into retirement.
