Resolve - Handheld Raman ID through opaque containers

Cobalt''s Resolve enables ID of unknown chemicals through opaque containers; a game-changing new capability for Hazmat teams. The system works through barriers such as colored plastics, glass, paper, card, sacks and fabrics, with traditional point-and-shoot and vial modes also available. Comprehensive library materials include TICs, TIMs, explosives, precursors, chemical warfare agents, and narcotics & NPS. Resolve enables operators to obtain a positive ID without opening or moving the container, meaning hazards stay contained. The system is fast, accurate, ruggedized and user-friendly; time spent in protective gear is reduced or used more efficiently in the hot zone. Resolve''s unique optics also enable small amounts of residual powder or liquid to be reliably identified on surfaces, and sensitive primary explosives can be analyzed with a significantly reduced risk of ignition. This means that handheld Raman could be used with many "home made" materials (such as TATP) that have been used in recent attacks around the world.
