VitaFlex's Soft-stretch Biosafety Hoods are innovative PPE to provide complete coverage for the head, face, and neck. For emergency responders working in forensic sites, they are the first PPE put on and last removed for keeping continuous protection.
The innovative advantages of VitaFlex's Soft-stretch Biosafety Hoods is COMFORT: Soft Form-it and Easy Breathability. Their multi-layer elastic structures are engineered with barrier properties in accordance with ASTM F2100 and AAMI PB70 for blocking micron-sized particles and liquid splashes. The low differential pressure allows for easy breathability to keep the wearer’s head cool and comfortable for hours of extended wear.
By wearing properly with goggles that fit the wearer’s face (seals around the nose and presses firmly on the nose bridge), VitaFlex's Biosafety hood can provide additional respiratory protection. They can be worn over or under a facemask or respirator to provide an additional layer of isolation and prevent gapping. Wearing a hood under the PAPR or hazmat hood is required on job sites for continuous protection after removal of the contaminated suit.
