Milo & Moxie Wildfire Prevention curriculum for K-5 students
The Arizona Burn Foundation is proud to introduce you to the Milo & Moxie: Wildfire Prevention curriculum! This comprehensive story and activity book for K-5 students was created in 2021 in response to growing wildfire dangers and occurrences throughout the country. Our two loveable characters, Milo and Moxie, teach children and families real-life strategies to help prevent wildland fires, while keeping their homes safe and protected. Topics include implementing fire resistant zones, building emergency escape kits, the Drown, Stir, Feel method for extinguishing a campfire, and more!
The Arizona Burn Foundation collaborated with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service Department, Southwestern Region to create this Milo & Moxie: Wildfire Prevention curriculum. We hope that this interactive story and activity book can help create generational change and ensure that wildfire prevention strategies become a mainstream part of our childrens' education.
